A traditional Turkish dish made from fine bulgur, tomato paste, spices and herbs, completely meat-free, healthy and full of flavor!
Ingredients
250 g fine bulgur
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp paprika paste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion (finely grated)
1 tsp paprika powder, cumin, pepper
2 tbsp pomegranate syrup
2 spring onions, chopped
parsley, salt, lemon juice
preparation
- Place the bulgur in a large bowl, cover lightly with hot water and let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Add tomato paste, bell pepper paste, oil and spices and knead vigorously with your hands or a spoon until a smooth mixture is formed.
- Stir in pomegranate syrup, spring onions and parsley.
- Form small, elongated koftas with wet hands.
- Serve with lettuce leaves, lemon and ayran.
